2.     Admission Qualifications

    Applicant holding foreign citizenship or Overseas Korean (North Korea Defector exception)

    Educated abroad (from elementary school to university for 16 years) (Overseas Korean Only)

    A 4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent as recognized by law

    A theologically conservative and mature Christian who has been baptized for more than four years (baptized before Feb. 28. 2017)  

    A proof of proficiency in English: A bachelor's degree from English-speaking university or TOEFL iBT score of 80 / IELTS score of 5.5 or higher.

5.       Required Documents

Required in common

1) Prescribed forms

    Application form (Include recent photograph)

    Personal Statement

    Certificate of Baptism / Financial Aid request

    Two reference letters (professor and pastor or missionary)

Must be sent by the recommenders via email: engmdiv@gmail.com)

    Family relation certificate (or Birth certificate or Marriage Certificate) issued within one month

Ø   Student’s and Parent’s original Household Register ( 口本 ) and Resident Identity Card ( 份证 ) with notarization on them in Korean are also required (Chinese students only)

 

2) Academic Records

    Certificate of Graduation (university) with notarization in Korean on it

    Official transcript(s) from all colleges and universities attended with notarization in Korean on it

 

3) Others

    Copy of Passport (in PDF format or JPG file)

    TOEFL iBT Score of 80 or IELTS score 5.5 or higher.

for non-English speaking university graduates only

    Health Checkup result (in particular, verifying no epidemics such as tuberculosis, and hepatitis, etc.)

    Application fee 150,000 won (around 125$, can differ according to exchange rate)

 

    For Overseas Korean only

    Elementary, Middle & High school diploma (Overseas Korean only)

    Financial statement ($20,000 or more) of self or family member         

must supply document issued within one month from bank, proving relationship between

the applicant and financial supporter

    Verification on the entry into and departure from the country (the applicant involved only)

   Alien Registration Card (Cardholder only)

6.      Etc. Consideration

    School will support half of the tuition fee every semester for English M.Div. course students.

    Applicants who graduated from the university or college abroad must submit documents with apostille stamps or notarization on them verifying school's accreditation.

Member countries of the Apostille:   apostille stamp

Non-Member:   notarization from nearby embassy of Republic of Korea

    Successful Applicants must also bring original application copies during entry into Korea (To review each document’s originality / The counterfeit document leads to admission cancellation and withdrawal.)  

    First year students cannot have a leave of absence for first semester (military service, health problem exception).

    Incomplete documents will not be reviewed. Submitted documents are not returned.

    It is mandatory for all first year students (1st and 2nd semester) to live on campus.

    After thorough review of documents ( personal statement, health status, mission/vision Statements ) applicants will be interviewed. [in person/online] Failure to comply will lead to disqualification.

Expected e xpenses

One-year tuition: $7,000 * (US$1 is calculated as approximately 1200 won)

Annual living cost:

          Dorm: First year- Waived Break (summer & winter) ($520)

  Second/Third year: Semester ($380)

Break (winter & summer) ($520)

Meals: $3.00/per meal. Transportation: Shuttle Bus- $3.00/per ride

 

Living Expenses

Meals: $300

Transportation: $80

Others: $90

Total: approximately $470/month

 

 

      Miscellaneous:

          Medical Insurance: $15/month (varies according to age and gender)

Textbooks: $100.00 ~ 150.00/semester (depending on the number of the subjects)

    Students are responsible for airfare, annual living cost, and miscellaneous fees.

          Meal coupons(15) will be given to all first year students each semester. (April, October)

 

Scholarships Policy

International Student Scholarship (tuition)

for all international students ($3,000 per year)

Church-Matching Scholarship (tuition)

for qualified students ($3,000 per year, additional admission fee $670 first semester)

      Church-Internship Scholarship (allowance)

for qualified students ($5,500 per year)

Full Scholarship [ + + /$11,500 ] = one year tuition + monthly allowance for internship

            Recipients of Church-Internship Scholarship will receive monthly allowance.
